10 months old yesterday!

Sophie turned 10 months old yesterday, the day we flew home from Chicago. It is getting harder and harder to take her picture in her rocking chair; she is such a go baby! As you can see, most of my pics were of her in motion trying to climb off the chair! Oh well, I managed to get a few cute ones =)

A few more pics

Our trip to Durant!

While visiting my parents, we drove back to Durant for the day to see family. It was so great; I haven't seen most of my family in years and so many were there. The kids had a great time playing together. It was really nice because my grandma Schlapkohl hadn't seen Sophia yet so enjoyed holding her!!

Our trip to the American Girl store!

Well, this past Friday my sis and her two oldest girls, Addie & Ayla went downtown Chicago to the American Girl store! It was soo much fun (I wished I were a 7 yr old again)! We took the train down, ate lunch at McDonald's, took a water taxi to Michigan Ave, walked to the store, shopped, and took a taxi back to the train station. Whew! Each of the girls got dolls that looked like them!

Fun at grandma & grandpa's!

Well, we just got back yesterday from spending several days at my parents' house. My sis Les was there with her husband and their 3 girls. Soph had a good time playing with her cousins she just met for the first time! I took quite a few pics so I'm just gonna post some. It was a good trip despite Wesley getting a cold...but he wasn't too sick to play golf twice =)

HORRIBLE Friday!

So, let me fill you all in on what happened last Friday. After Sophie got up, me and Wes were laying in bed with her watching Sesame Street (good times at the Brandon house!). She is into waving and was waving at Elmo on the tv and her thumb jammed into my left eye blinding me! I screamed bloody murder and passed her off to Wes. It felt like there was glass under my eye lid...I couldn't even use my right eye because it made my left eye hurt! Wes tried to look to see if there was something in it and decided it was just scratched. He said to rest it for a while. Two hours later, I was still in bed in horrible pain. We made a dr. appt for me at 2 and he said she scratched off almost half of the top layer of my cornea. He said it should start to feel better after 48 hours and gave me some drops. The rest of the day was miserable...I mostly layed around in pain. It felt somewhat better Saturday and felt much better Sunday morning. It's still pretty sensitive to light and a little tender. So, watch out for Sophie...she'll poke your eye out, literally!!
