Finally, pics of her TEETH!

I was able to get a few pictures of her two little teeth. I took these a few days ago and it's amazing how much more they have come in!

New highchair!

We got Sophia her own highchair a few weeks ago and finally got around to putting a pic of it up. Its nice and matches the colors in our decorating. I figure if I have to look at it everyday in the kitchen I want it to blend.

Dr. Appt. f/u

Sophia had her follow-up appt. with her surgeon today. She's doing great with everything! Thank goodness we can stop going to their office every few weeks...the next time we go will be in a few months! Yippee! No more waiting an hour in their super crowded waiting room! They weighed her in at 20 lbs...no wonder I have so much definition in my arm muscles, it's a workout carrying her around.

Wesley and Sophie were hanging out this afternoon playing with some of the toys we gave her for Easter. They are these little cups that can snap together in different ways. The one pic is soo Wesley...he sure can make her laugh!

What the ???

I know, right? What in the world? She was crawling around the other morning and I kept seeing something sticking out of her sleeper...it was her big toe! I don't know how she managed to get a hole in it and then get her toe through, but it didn't seem to phase her...silly girl!

Fisher is here!

So, my friend Catherine had her baby on Friday and we went to visit him yesterday afternoon. He is so cute and tiny! He weighed 6 lbs 11 oz, 19 in long. We only stayed a few minutes because Catherine was going to try to nurse him, but we did get one pic. She emailed a few too so I posted one of those too. He was born exactly 8 months and 2 days from Sophie!

8 months old!

Sophie turned 8 months old on Wednesday and I meant to post these then but got sidetracked. One is pretty blurry but its the best I can do since she is such a "go" baby! You should have seen the rest I took...my hand is in almost all trying to stop her from moving forward in the chair. She then got sidetracked and started eating the pillow and then the blanket on the back of the chair. It was quite an ordeal!

Crawling and a new tooth!

I feel like these last few weeks have been crazy! She's really started taking off with her combat crawling and is super close to the real thing. She now has 2 teeth coming in so she's been a little fussy and is constantly wanting to chew on everything!

She knows how to turn the fish mobile on in her crib and the other day I walked in and she was turning it on and off with her mouth! No wonder I am constantly changing the batteries.

Wes has been busy at work getting their new temp office set up. My good friend Catherine had her baby boy, Fisher, today so we will be going to Nashville to visit him tomorrow.

Sophie saw her surgeon on Tuesday (again!) It is starting to get a little old driving to Vanderbilt every 2 weeks but it sounds like it will start slowing down. We will see him again in 2 weeks but then won't go until she's 1 yr. It does sound like we will go periodically until she's potty trained. Eeek! Oh well, she's gotten very used to it. All the staff know us and the nurses all hold her and walk around showing her off to the med students. She weighs 19 lbs 10 oz!

Our Easter bunny!

Sophie had her pics taken about 2 weeks ago and we got them back today. Our good friend Candice took the pics and I think she did a great job! I posted a few below. The bunny coat was a shower present from my mom and I thought it fitting for her to wear since it's Easter time! I love the one where she's lounging, she looks like a plus size model!

Tornado craziness!

So, we had some major tornadoes come through TN today! We lucked out in Smyrna...just mainly got rain and a little hail but Murfreesboro took the brunt of the storm. Wesley's work was hit but thank goodness, he was off today. There were 7 people at his work today and they took cover in the bathroom. He went after the storm to help salvage some files and computers and took some pics on his cell phone.

First Tooth!

Sophia has her first tooth! She was real whiny on Friday and I couldn't figure out why so I decided to check her gums...sure enough, there was a little tooth just breaking through on the bottom! I guess that explains the fussiness! It is really hard to see because her tongue covers it mostly but I will attempt to get a picture soon. I'm excited for her but not for myself considering I'm still nursing...hopefully, she won't decide to use her little tooth on me =)
