So close to crawling!

Sophia is getting soo close to crawling! She used to be content on the floor just rolling around, but now she gets mad after a while because she wants to crawl so bad! I imagine it won't be much longer...I'm not ready to baby-proof my house just yet!

Yes, another Dr. appt!!!!!

We went to see Sophie's surgeon today. He said she has healed really well. He also said we will be continuing her after surgery care and it sounds like we will be doing it until she's at least 1 year!! That's over 4 months away =( Oh well, I guess it could be worse...

She weighs 19 lbs 6 oz...she gained 4 oz in 1 week!!!! Wesley said we may need to look into Jenny Craig for her!

Yet another f/u Dr. appt!

Sophie had another follow-up dr. appt. in pediatric surgery today. We didn't actually even see the surgeon, just the nurse. She said everything looks great and we will see the dr. next Tuesday. I was able to get her weight (that's the only reason I like taking her there!) and she weighs 19 lbs, 2 oz. It seems like she has really ballooned up in the last week or so. She's soo much fun lugging around in the car seat =) haha

A high chair...finally!

Yeah! We now have a high chair to feed Sophie in! We have been using the Bumbo seat...it works but is sort of a pain since she gets food all over the table. Wesley's mom had this one in her attic so we are using it temporarily until we figure out what we want. She is still only eating 1 meal/day of solids but it will be nice to have when she moves on to 3 per day.

So, i finally have gotten around to uploading the pics from Joel's reception. We really didn't take all that many...just a few towards the end. These were taken just before we had to change Sophie's clothes because she peed all over her dress when I changed her. Good thing I brought another set of clothes!

Solid Food Time!

Sophia had her first taste of baby food yesterday morning. We had to delay her starting on solid foods per her doctor. She has had rice cereal before (and didn't really care for it) and we gave her some carrots yesterday. She actually ate more than I thought! Don't get me wrong, most still ended up on her face/bib!! We will start on squash next.

Dr. Appt

Sophia had her follow-up appt. with her surgeon yesterday. He said her incision is healing very well. We now have to begin dilating her twice a day for the next few weeks...yes, it is as terrible as it sounds =( She HATES it! He said she should get used to it after a week or so (I hope so!)

They also weighed her...she's now 18 lbs 13 oz! I thought it seemed like she was getting bigger by the day!

Sitting up like a BIG girl!

So, Sophie is sitting up! She has been working on it for a while and could do it but would topple over pretty quickly. She now can sit by herself for a good little bit (until she leans or reaches for something, then she falls like a tree!)

BIG Weekend!

Whew, what a crazy weekend! Joel (Wesley's brother) got married yesterday so we had the rehearsal dinner Friday night and the reception yesterday afternoon. Everything went very well. Sophie did great yesterday for it being such a long weekend. She looked super cute!

On to another issue, she has all of a sudden decided she hates sleep! She was sleeping almost through the night, waking at about 5-6 to eat and then sleeping till 9 or so. Now she is back to waking up about 2 times a night again! I'm hoping its a growth spurt or maybe teething, but if anyone has any suggestions, that would be great!

6 Month Check-up

Sophia loves to suck on the washcloth during her bath and we got a good pic of it!

So, Sophie had her 6 month check-up today. She weighs 18 lbs 4 oz and is 27 in. tall. Those were both in the 9oth %ile! She was in the 75th for her head circumference. She is such a big girl! Other than that, we are just getting ready for Wesley's brother's wedding this weekend. I spent this whole past weekend trying to find a dress to wear (I hate shopping for stuff like that cuz I never know if I'll be under/over dressed!)
